Join the Young Friends of Lafayette Park for a Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration at the Kern Pavilion (boathouse) in Lafayette Park on Saturday, November 5th, 6:30-10pm.
Día de los Muertos is a holiday celebrated in Mexico and in Mexican American communities. Associated with the celebration of All Saint’s Day and All Souls Day, Día de los Muertos is not a day of mourning, but rather celebration, as families gather to remember loved ones, ancestors, and moments together. Our celebration will include food, music, dance, and drink, as we bring our families’ favorite moments back to life to keep them in our lives.
EVENT DETAILS:
We invite you to join us, bringing photos and memorabilia of your loved ones (humans and pets!) in the hope that we can celebrate their lives with them once more!
No membership is required. Everyone 21+ is welcome – the evented is hosted by the Young Friends of Lafayette Park, but you do not need to be “young” in age to join.
RSVP at this link is not required, but requested to aid in planning
